Made in the 1970s by American company Killark and reclaimed from a decommissioned cargo ship, this white enamel pendant light will inject genuine industrial style into any interior.

One lucky Reclaim reader can win this vintage light, worth £355, which has been professionally restored by Loomlight, fitted with new electrical components and an LED light bulb.

‘This type of fixture is ideal to use in multiples over a kitchen island or dining table for authentic rustic style,’ says Victoria Iliffe, co-founder of Loomlight along with her husband Andy. ‘They have timeless appeal so fit well with any design scheme.’ Established in 1913, Killark designs and manufactures lighting that encompasses industrial and explosion-proof fittings engineered to withstand the toughest extremes in climate. ‘These are completely over-engineered for modern-day use, which is why we love these light fittings!’ admits Victoria.

About Loomlight

Andy and Victoria set up Loomlight in 2014, starting out by renovating a couple of lamps they found in a salvage yard. Today they source items from industrial and marine salvage yards all over the world and have built up trusted connections, only sourcing the very best designs in great condition.

‘All our light fixtures are fully restored and ready to be installed,’ says Victoria. ‘They are as good as new once they leave our Leicestershire-based workshop, rewired with either CE-approved or UL-listed components, meaning you can purchase from our website safe in the knowledge that your light fixtures are ready for modern life.’

Over the past 10 years Loomlight has been supplying both commercial and private clients around the world, including London’s Brunel Building. ‘Much of our lighting stock is available in large quantities but we have a few light fixtures which are more limited,’ says Victoria. ‘We offer an in-house manufacturing service and work closely with our clients to design bespoke light fittings.’ With over 20 years’ experience in lighting design and electrical engineering, they are experts in their field.
