Cross House, Waterloo Square, Alfriston, East Sussex BN26 5UD

Set in the heart of the medieval village of Alfriston, East Sussex and housed in an early 18th century house later converted into shops, every surface and wall of this beautiful antiques store is adorned with eye-catching objects. With an interior painted in the Bloomsbury style it nods towards nearby Charleston Farmhouse and offers lovingly chosen curios, eccentricities and must-have items. As if that’s not enough, next door in a 19th former glove making building is sister store The Dressing Room selling vintage and antique fashion from the 18th century to the late 20th century.
