Win a hand-loomed Weaver Green rug made entirely from recycled plastic

The prize

Ever since Devon-based Weaver Green perfected a method for recycling single-use plastic bottles into beautiful, soft woven textiles, they’ve made it their mission to create gorgeous, highly desirable, design-led products that you would choose regardless of their environmental credentials.

One Reclaim reader will have the chance to win a Weaver Green Darjeeling rug (150 x 90cm), worth £155. The winner can choose from Heather, featuring delicate pink, soft blues and oatmeal stripes; Caspian, a tonal blue stripe with touches of yellow and pink; or Rainbow, a vibrant red, pink and chocolate brown stripe.

‘A celebration of colour and artisanal craft, our Darjeeling rug is an exuberant and cheerful design,’ says Tasha Green, founder of Weaver Green. ‘Traditionally hand-loomed by artisans with our recycled “wonder yarn”, it combines easy-to-scheme multicoloured stripes with incredible practicality, marrying the traditional handcraft of rug making with a graphic pattern that’s at home in both contemporary and more classic spaces. It’s great in homes with pets and children too, as like all our rugs it’s hypoallergenic and claw-friendly.’

About Weaver Green

Weaver Green’s range of globally inspired, environmentally friendly recycled rugs look and feel just like wool, but each contains up to 3,000 salvaged plastic bottles. All products are made in exactly the same way, meaning everything Weaver Green sells has helped prevent single-use plastic bottles from ending up in landfill or floating in the ocean. In the last five years alone, they’ve recycled over 280 million plastic bottles. Their rugs not only have the softness and texture of wool, but are also machine-washable, stain-resistant, environmentally friendly, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

‘It always gives me a thrill to see our gorgeously soft, hand-loomed rugs bringing joy to homes, knowing we’ve saved another 3,000 bottles from landfill or from littering our oceans,’ smiles Tasha.
