Olive Road

Olive Road is an independent studio and online shop selling vintage fabrics from the 1950s to the 1990s, alongside a range of haberdashery and patterns. With fabric chosen for its individuality, quality and vintage style, each piece comes in one to two metre lengths to give makers the opportunity to create an individual garment, accessory or soft furnishing. Passionate about preventing beautiful textiles from reaching landfill and using every last scrap, owner Sarah Richards offers everything from Liberty and Heals fabrics to lesser-known names. Studio visits by appointment only.

Something Truly Vintage

Having spent her childhood in antiques centres, at auctions and selling with her father at London’s Petticoat Lane Market, Jacqui Harris from the BBC1’s The Bidding Room has put her passion for all things old and interesting into the shop she owns in Horncastle. A wonderfully inspiring multi-roomed space celebrating home style from the 1940s to the 1970s, each room has a different look which encompasses genuine vintage, antiques, retro, upcycled goods and the marvellous world of mechanical items. Open Friday and Saturday only, a visit is well advised.
